KIKUYU NG-CDF TERTIARY EDUCATION BURSARY CHEQUES ISSUANCE
Kimani Ichung’wah, The Kikuyu NG-CDF Committee and the Constituency office team today led us in the issuance of bursary cheques to university, college and TVET students from across Kikuyu Constituency. KES19,900,000 was disbursed to 1,701 applicants from all the five wards.

Through the Kikuyu NG-CDF Merit-Based Bursaries Allocation Model, the students were awarded between KES7,000 and KES30,000 premised on their respective school fees arrears. By reducing and in some cases offsetting school fees balances, our bursaries program helps alleviate the pressure of tuition fees, allowing our students to concentrate fully on their studies.
During the event whose chief guest was Thika Town MP, Hon. Alice Ng’ang’a, our young people were encouraged to utilize the ICT hubs in the Nachu and Kinoo Technical & Vocational Colleges, to undertake the most in-demand digital skills training programs that will enable them to leverage the vast and diverse online job opportunities to earn a living.

A group of baristas who recently graduated under the Kikuyu NG-CDF short courses and empowerment program received coffee making machines and other equipment in support of their startup venture. We laud this kind of progressive and visionary leadership that reflects the true face of Kikuyu constituency, and will ensure that individuals, families and communities are empowered for generations to come.

We were also joined by aspiring Kiambu County Senator Mr. Kogi Investor, Kikuyu Ward MCA Hon. James Kamau Boro, nominated MCAs Lawrence Wainaina, Wambui Wa Bags and Njambi Kinyanjui, and Konza Technopolis Director Mr. Peter Muchendu.

We remain indefatigably focused on service delivery and development.
